The Wrighto-Who ???
On a lazy day in Staten Island, John Jr. was watching a movie about addictive behaviors. “What is an addiction exactly?” he thought, and his mind ran wild.
According to popular definitions it means you are dependent of a situation. In this case the addictive pattern for our Brooklyn native was the Mets, but more in particular, seeing David Wright play.
This inspiration created a feeling of researching about one of his favorite players. More than watching him play, he needed to know what David was up to every day.
On the other side of the United States, in California, Desiree, started watching Mets games every day thanks to the Internet. She soon realized that there was no official sites for the new talented third baseman on the team.
A year later, John had started a blog called the "Wrightoholics" and Desiree wanted to create a forum for fans to come together. They talked online about fusing their ideas together and it has grown since then. The first e-mail newsletter came out in June of 2006. About 20 people signed in to receive it. Today, the MySpace site has over 1000 members and we keep on growing.
Wrightoholics are everywhere and with the site we hope to bring them together.
